The 2018 National Automotive Dealers Association (NADA) Convention is right around the corner, and if you’re an auto dealer planning on attending this large-scale event, it’s best to go in with a game plan.

The conference kicks off Thursday, March 22nd, and the exhibit floor runs from Friday, March 23rd through Sunday, March 25th in Las Vegas. With thousands of sessions, products, and vendors to see, it’s crucial to start planning your experience to optimize your time at the show.

Four Tips to Optimize Your Time at NADA

  1. Do Your Research. Whether it’s your first time at NADA, or you’re a returning veteran, it’s a mistake to go into this event blindly. With so much see, it’s best to do your research ahead of time and choose the companies or products that would be of highest value to your dealership. Browse the NADA website, read reviews on DrivingSales.com, or download PCG Research Reports, to determine your “must-see” list.
  2. Block out 30-Minute Appointments. Once you have your list of must-see products, you must also make a list of the NADA General Sessions and Workshops you would like to attend. Once you have chosen those, schedule 30-minute vendor appointments around those workshops, so that you get a balance of product demos and education.
  3. Create a Schedule (and stick to it!). Once you create your NADA schedule, stick to it! With so many things to see, it is easy to get sidetracked, but if you refer to your schedule, you’ll be reminded of what your goals are, and what is most important to bring to your dealership once you return.
  4. Wear Comfortable Shoes & Stay Hydrated! This is self-explanatory, but should not be taken lightly. While at NADA you will be walking around the exhibit hall, and talking to vendors, for the majority of the day.
