This entry level position is responsible for creating SEO-friendly content for online publication. In this position, the writer will create blogs and website content for a variety of clients.

The Digital Marketing Content Writer is responsible for collaborating with the account team, and others as needed, to develop and create content for both our clients and the company.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a full content workload for clients every month, while hitting weekly and monthly deadlines
  • Create a given amount of content without sacrificing quality
  • Ability to meet deadlines or make adjustments to meet the requirements of an assignment
  • Deliver work on-time and on-budget
  • Collaboration with team members to expedite tasks, along with willingness to get the work completed
  • Ability to create high-quality content that reflects the desired voice of a brand
  • Knowledge and understanding of web content best practices, including on-page SEO
  • Ability to create original content that adheres to common SEO best practices and strategies
  • Inspect completed tasks for proper SEO value, quality, and accuracy and ensure it is in line with the request
  • Update content across various website platforms including WordPress. Digital properties include but are not limited to: client websites, blogs, online communication, and email marketing
  • A strong passion for writing blogs and AP style press releases for various clients and topics
  • Overall ability to present and convey strategies to internal team members
  • Ability to write concisely and edit content
  • Through self-education, keep up to speed on digital and marketing trends and apply those tactics to projects
  • Knowledge, usage, and maintenance of various internal and external tools and software required to perform the job

 

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of content writing experience, preferably in Digital Marketing
  • Strong writing background
  • Excellent grammar skills
  • Has ability to write in a variety of forms (differing by project, audience, word count constraints, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SEO, social media advertising, and digital marketing is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A smart, sophisticated, and diverse portfolio of copy samples is ideal
  • Must have exceptional ability to manage time professionally and execute ideas from initial concept to finished work
  • Has outstanding organizational skills; the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time
  • Experience with a high-volume, fast-paced working environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work with multiple personalities in a diverse environment in a team atmosphere
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible, accountable, collaborative, and vocal
  • Knowledge of AP Style is a plus
  • Internship or agency experience is a plus
