Bring in the personal aspect of the business. New buyers are usually so excited with their purchase that they want to share their experience. With their permission, take and post their picture on your page and give them an avenue to share their excitement.

Share community events that your business is involved in. It’s in our nature to want to help others, so your followers will most likely share posts that help others and your community.

Don’t be afraid to use multiple images in one post, though I suggest no more than three to four in one post. I’ve found that posts with multiple images seem to get more reach that posts with only one photo.

If you are a car dealer, give your fans worthwhile information about cars: how to care for them, how to keep them looking new, what they are capable of, what fun can be had in them, what improvements have been made on the new models – the list goes on and on.

If you sell food products, give out some recipes, healthy food tips, quick and easy ideas for dinner or notifications when you’re having specials.

The days of the free ride on Facebook is over. If you are struggling to gain followers, it is time to start boosting posts and running contests!

Now that Facebook will not be sharing promotional posts, your page will now have to become what Facebook started out to be – a place to share information with your followers. Leave your pitches to Facebook ads and turn your page into a wealth of information – your local fans and customers will reward you for it!
