At the time Power Ford came to PCG, the dealership acquired their existing location and underwent a name change. Because of this, they needed to increase visibility for their brand while diverting anything linked to the previous location. That is where PCG’s work began.
Beginning with a full website optimization and content building strategy, PCG increased Power Ford’s Google Page 1 ranking dramatically, leading to an increase in traffic to the dealership’s site.
Next, PCG developed an organic strategy around a small group of keywords that were not only important to Power Ford, but were also being targeted by local competitors.
Paid Search campaigns were also implemented to retarget in-market shoppers through banner ads and video content, while Pay-Per-Click (PPC) ads helped target their used car inventory, small local towns, service, and long-tailed keywords.
In less than a year, PCG increased the number of keywords in positions 1-3 from 9 to 23, while organic traffic increased 90% in under a year.
In year two, PCG further increased top ranking keywords from 23 to 35, and organic traffic by 109%. These efforts—combined with paid advertising techniques—skyrocketed digital visibility, brand awareness, and lead traffic. In fact, paid search generated 3,847 leads (form completions and phone calls) throughout the year—all while costing under 20 dollars per lead.
